Catalytic Purifiers
Engine Control Systems diesel purifiers consist of either a ceramic (AX, AZ series) or a metallic (DZ series) monolith, coated with advanced precious metal catalysts and packaged into stainless steel housings. These purifiers oxidise hazardous carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) to form carbon dioxide and water. Engine Control Systems AZ/AX purifiers will also reduce total particulate (SOF) emissions up to 40%.
The purifiers are designed for ease of installation and need no or little maintenance.
Engine Control Systems offers different kinds of catalytic purifiers:
Model AZ
- Available in 11 sizes for engines up to 560 kW.
- CO and HC reduction up to 95% and particles up to 40%.
- Can be designed as a combined catalyst and silencer to replace existing vehicle silencer.
- Customized design to a large number of machines.
- Can be combined with the Unikat Combifilter.

Model EZ / DZ
- Available in 23 standard models for engines up to 660 kW.
- Low exhaust back pressure
- Compact size suitable for limited space.
